Stargazing Sessions For Schools, Communities or groups curious about skies
Making sense of the sky with our eyes, Telescopes and Tools
  • Basics of observing the sky

  • Making sense of the objects in the sky

  • Astronomy the Ladakhi way - we discuss the stories from Ladakh as well as other cultures that help us understand the kind of relations our ancestors had with skies

  • Basics of telescopes and how to use them

  • Telescopic observations of the objects ( depending on the sky conditions and what's visible) - Planets, other solar system bodies, deep sky objects ( star clusters, galaxies, nebulae etc.)

  • Scientific understanding of the objects

  • Understanding how our skies are changing and what we can do about them

    Sessions are open for any doubts and discussions. Astrophotography, Light Pollution awareness and solutions can be added.
